Drama Lesson Plans FAQs

Clear answers about ready-made drama schemes of work, Studio teaching tools, free access, prices, subscriptions and account support.

Getting started

What the platform does, who it is for and how its two main routes fit together.

What is Drama Lesson Plans?

Drama Lesson Plans is an online workspace for drama teachers. You can browse and buy complete, ready-made drama schemes of work, or use Studio tools to create and adapt lessons, activities, resources and assessment materials for your own classes.

Who is Drama Lesson Plans for?

It is designed for classroom teachers, drama specialists, non-specialists, cover teachers and school departments. Most ready-made schemes focus on secondary, KS3 and middle school drama, while the planning tools can be adapted for other age groups and teaching contexts.

What is the difference between ready-made schemes and Studio?

Ready-made drama schemes of work provide a complete sequence of lessons and any listed supporting resources. Studio is the creation workspace: use it when you want to build something new, adapt an idea or solve a specific planning, teaching or assessment job.

Do I need to be a drama specialist or confident with technology?

No. The site is intended to give both new and experienced teachers a clear starting point. The tools guide you through the information they need, and ready-made schemes provide an existing lesson sequence you can follow or adapt.

Free account and access

What visitors can see, what registration unlocks and how free tool uses work.

Can I browse without creating an account?

Yes. You can browse public scheme summaries, lesson outlines and teaching articles without registering, and the free improvisation prompt generator works without an account. Create an account when you want to save work, use the full Studio toolset or buy a scheme.

What is included with a free account?

After you verify your email, a free account includes 10 free Studio tool uses, the complete six-lesson Communication scheme and the ability to save what you create. There is no subscription required to start.

Create a free account when you are ready to try the planning tools.

Why do I need to verify my email address?

Email verification confirms that you can receive account messages and unlocks the 10 free tool uses. The verification link expires after 48 hours. If the email does not arrive, check your spam folder, then use the support form if you still need help.

What happens when my free tool uses run out?

You can still sign in and use content already available to your account, including the free Communication scheme and any schemes you bought individually. Upgrade to Full Access if you want unlimited use of the Studio planning, teaching and assessment tools.

Schemes, lessons and resources

What a scheme contains, how access works and what teachers should review before class.

What is included in a ready-made drama scheme of work?

The contents vary by scheme. Each public listing shows the recommended age range, lesson count, overview and lesson outlines, plus the supporting resources attached to that scheme. Check the individual scheme page before buying so you know exactly what is included.

Can I buy one scheme without subscribing?

Yes. You can buy an individual scheme at the price shown on its listing. It is then attached to your account with ongoing access, so you do not need a Full Access subscription to keep using that purchase.

What is the difference between Full Access and buying one scheme?

An individual purchase gives your account ongoing access to that one scheme. Full Access includes every ready-made scheme plus unlimited use of the Studio tools for as long as the subscription remains active. Compare the options on the pricing page.

Can I edit, print or export the materials?

Studio is designed for creating, saving and adapting your own teaching material. Full Access includes unlimited creation, printing and export. The files and controls available with a ready-made scheme are shown on that scheme's lessons and resource pages.

Are the lesson plans ready to teach?

Ready-made schemes are structured for classroom use, but every teacher should review materials before teaching. Adapt timing, language, challenge, sensitive content and safeguarding decisions for your students, school policy and local context. Generated Studio outputs are teacher-support materials and should also be checked before use.

Do the resources match my exam board or curriculum?

Many resources support common drama skills such as devising, performance, character, voice, movement, analysis and evaluation. They are not a substitute for your current exam-board specification or local curriculum. Check the relevant requirements and adapt the material where needed.

Plans, payments and departments

Full Access, billing, cancellation, VAT and options for teaching teams.

What does Full Access include?

Full Access includes unlimited use of the planning, teaching and assessment tools; every ready-made Scheme of Work; and unlimited creation, saving, printing and export. Monthly and annual individual plans are available.

Should I choose monthly or annual Full Access?

Both plans include the same Full Access features. Monthly billing offers more flexibility; annual billing gives the lower equivalent monthly price. See the current prices and plan comparison before choosing.

How are payments handled, and is VAT included?

Payments and subscription billing are handled securely by Stripe. Prices marked '+ VAT' do not include VAT; the checkout shows the applicable tax and final total before you pay.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Open Membership & billing in your account and choose Manage billing in Stripe. When cancellation is scheduled, paid access continues until the end of the current billing period. For refund and cancellation rights, check the terms presented at checkout or ask billing support.

Can a drama department or school use the platform?

Department access for schools and teaching teams is in development. It is intended to support multiple teachers, shared planning and access to every ready-made scheme. Join the department early-access list to hear about availability and launch pricing.

Account and support

Finding saved work, resetting access and getting help with a purchase or resource.

Where can I find my saved work and purchased schemes?

Sign in and open Studio to continue creating. Your account page links to saved schemes, saved activities and schemes bought individually. Purchased schemes remain attached to the account used at checkout.

What should I do if I forget my password?

Use Reset password on the login screen, or request a one-time reset link from the Security section of your account. Check your spam folder if the message does not arrive.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. The account page includes a permanent deletion option. An active Stripe subscription must be cancelled or resolved first. Deleting the account removes saved Studio work and free-use history, and purchased access cannot be recovered afterwards.

How do I get help with my account, billing or a resource?

Use the contact and support form. Choose support, billing, problem report or feature suggestion, then include the email address on your account and enough detail for the issue to be investigated.
