This scheme of work looks at techniques developed by three of the most influential practitioners of modern drama: Constantin Stanislavski, Augusto Boal and Bertolt Brecht. Two lessons are provided on each, giving comprehensive introductions to Stanislavski's System, Boal's Theatre of the Opressed and Brecht's Epic Theatre. The unit is supported by numerous resources and is suitable for Year 9 students and above.
Each lesson plan has clearly stated objectives and learning outcomes. They are structured to include introductory warm up, development and plenary sessions. A homework task is also included.
