Music and Media Scheme of Work

6 Drama Lesson Plans for Year 8 (Ages 12-13yrs)

This scheme of work teaches students to interpret music at a basic level and how to incorporate it into their own performance work. They will learn how music can be linked to exaggerated movements by watching a cartoon orchestra in action and will understand how music is used by the media to help advertise products. A number of video clips and musical pieces are included with this scheme of work.

Each lesson plan has clearly stated objectives and learning outcomes. They are structured to include introductory warm up, development and plenary sessions. A homework task is also included.
